Suncoast Pony & Riding Club
Formed November 2003, First PC Rally 4.1.2004

Formal uniform: bottle green jumper with 1 white band around right arm, white shirt, black tie, cream jodphurs

Cap Cover: Bottle Green
Active Top: mixed green striped rugby jumper.

We are located in St Helens, Tasmania and have been operating since January 2004.  Our club is run by volunteers.

We have 25 riding members and over 15 social members and are still growing to be a bigger and better club.  Riders vary from 5 years old to 40+ years old, beginners to the advanced. 

We compete locally and are now starting to compete at zone and state level.  Pony club rallies are held once a month (always on the first sunday) and on the third weekend of the month we generally have trail rides or team practices. 

We are also proudly associated with the Riding For Disabled through Project Connect.  Some of our committee members and riding members volunteer every Thursday to assist the RDA in the running of their program.  Hopefully this relationship will continue to grow and prosper.

Our Aims:

The Suncoast Pony & Riding Club shares the pony club aims of:

1. Encourage people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding;
2. Instill in members the proper care of their animals;
3. Provide instruction in riding and horsemastership;
4. Promote friendship, teamwork, sportmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self discipline.
